The Greatest of Sins
Seventy Sins that Allah Likes That We Forsake
Building on the last blog about The Greatest of Sins ….
The INTIMATE PARTS are home to two of the greatest of sins:
14- The Fourteenth Great Sin: Fornication
Fornication is one of the greatest of sins as it is an act that causes major damage to individuals and to the society and it eventually leads to demise. Ibn Abbas said: “The greatest of sins are calling associates with Allah… and fornication…”(1). However, fornication and adultery are of different types: there is the fornication of the eye, the hand and the tongue, and that includes any act leading to an increase in sexual desire and then to explicit fornication. All of these are considered as great sins but are not listed under the gravestones, except for explicit fornication. The Hadith narrates: “The fornication of the eye is the eyesight, and that of the tongue is speech”(2). The Hadith also relayed: “The eye commits fornication through unlawful looking, and the mouth does through kissing, and the hands as well through touching…”(3) in other words if any of those senses lead to sexual desire.
15- The Fifteenth Great Sin: Homosexuality
Homosexuality is one of the gravest sins. This act goes against the human nature. This does not only indicate the homosexuals but under this category are the acts of encouraging, standing for and sympathizing with homosexuals. Whoever is in such situation and is suffering from this abnormality may seek therapy and can be cured. It is worth noting that promoting LGBT’s civil rights is a crime against the society and is actually one of the greatest of sins and may lead to disbelief for whoever decides it is permissible. Anal sex is a great sin but is not listed under the greatest of sins like homosexuality. The Prophet said: “Allah has cursed whomever does the act of the people of Lot, Allah has cursed whomever does the act of the people of Lot, three times”.(4)
Ibn Abbas narrated that the Prophet said: “Whomever you find committing the act of the people of Lot, kill the one doing it and the one to whom it is being done”(5). And another hadith narrated from Ibn Abbas that the Prophet said: “A man does not fondle another man, nor does a woman fondle another woman”.(6)

From One Seed to Seven Hundred: The Power of Giving
Honoring Mothers & Women: The Builders of Families, The Architects of Society 🌸
As we embrace Women’s Month and the beautiful season of spring, we are reminded of the incredible power of women—just like nature, they bring life, nurture growth, and create beauty in the world around them. Mothers, in particular, play a profound role in shaping families and strengthening communities. Their love, sacrifice, and wisdom plant the seeds of future generations, ensuring that society continues to thrive.
The Prophet ﷺ taught us the value of honoring and caring for women, and scholars have said:
"Whoever takes care of the women of his kinship, Allah will widen their provision and ease their affairs."
Caring for women is not just a responsibility—it is a means of barakah (blessing) in our lives, our wealth, and our communities.
At Mozaic, we believe in the empowerment of women through vocational training, giving them the skills and confidence they need to build a better future for themselves and their families. Through programs like sewing, culinary arts, and career development, we help women gain financial independence and a sense of purpose—allowing them to become active contributors to their communities.
This Women’s Month and Mother’s Day, let us celebrate the resilience, strength, and brilliance of women everywhere. Just as spring brings new beginnings, let’s give women the opportunities they need to bloom.
🌷 Join us in empowering women today. Your support helps refugee mothers and women rebuild their lives with dignity and purpose. https://mozaic.kindful.com/?campaign=1352842Happy

Du’a of the Day
Du'a for Parents
O Allah, forgive me, my parents, and the believers on the Day of Reckoning.
O Allah, enable me to be grateful for Your blessing upon me and my parents, and to do righteous deeds that please You, and admit me by Your mercy among Your righteous servants.
O Allah, do not place even an atom's weight of sorrow or worry in the hearts of my mother and father, grant them better than what they wish for, and bring joy to their hearts so that mine may also be happy, O Most Generous.
O Allah, forgive my parents for all their past sins, protect them for the remainder of their lives, and grant them pure and righteous deeds that please You.
O Allah, do not leave for them any sin without forgiving it, nor any worry without relieving it, nor any need of this world that pleases You and is good for them without fulfilling it.
O Allah, do not make them dependent on anyone but You, and make them rejoice in seeing their wishes for us fulfilled in this world.
O Allah, heal my parents with a cure that leaves no ailment behind, and clothe them with the garment of well-being.
O Allah, bless them in their lifespan with a blessing that brings them comfort in their livelihood and clothes them with well-being in their hearts, souls, minds, and bodies.
O Allah, make their last words in this world be: "There is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah."
O Allah, let the breezes of Paradise blow upon them, O Most Merciful of the merciful.
O Allah, just as You have poured Your goodness upon us, pour it upon the graves of those who have passed from the clouds of Your mercy.
O Allah, make the grave of my father and mother a garden and a meadow in eternal bliss and an everlasting home under the shade of the Most Merciful.
O Allah, place light to the right of my parents, until You resurrect them in peace, safe and secure in light from Your light.
O Allah, expand my father’s grave and stretch his sight, and lay his grave with the bedding of Paradise.
O Allah, protect my mother from the punishment of the grave and its solitude.
O Allah, fill their graves with satisfaction, light, spaciousness, and joy.
O Allah, if they were righteous, increase their good deeds, and if they were sinful, overlook their wrongs.
O Allah, make me among the most beloved to my parents, and the closest of children to them, and honor me with good treatment towards them and care for them.
O Allah, let the breezes of Paradise blow upon them, O Most Merciful of the merciful.
O Allah, just as You have poured Your goodness upon us, pour it upon the graves of those who have passed from the clouds of Your mercy.
O Allah, make each drop of rain for them a source of comfort and forgiveness, O Lord of the worlds.
My Lord, moisten the soil of those who have departed from us with drops of Your goodness.
O Allah, moisten the grave of my parents with the rivers of Your Paradise, and make each drop of rain for them a source of comfort and forgiveness, O Lord of the worlds.
O Allah, water the graves of those whose means have come to an end in this world, and make them among the honored and blessed.
O Allah, have mercy on those whom our minds cannot comprehend their separation, and make their graves light and brightness until the day they are resurrected.
O Allah, have mercy on my father and mother and compensate them for every pain they endured with a Paradise as vast as the heavens and the earth.
O Allah, make the grave of my mother and father a garden and a meadow in eternal bliss and an everlasting home under the shade of the Most Merciful.
O Allah, place light to the right of my parents, until You resurrect them in peace, safe and secure in light from Your light.
O Allah, expand my father's grave and stretch his sight, and lay his grave with the bedding of Paradise.
O Allah, protect my mother from the punishment of the grave and its solitude.
O Allah, fill their graves with satisfaction, light, spaciousness, and joy.
O Allah, if they were righteous, increase their good deeds, and if they were sinful, overlook their wrongs.
O Allah, admit my mother into Paradise without questioning her account, and without any previous punishment.
Ameen
