Seventy Sins that Allah Likes That We Forsake

24- The Twenty Fourth Great Sin: The Use of Obscenities, Swear Words And Insults

Abi Al Darda  narrated from the Prophet : “There is nothing heavier in a man’s scale of good deeds than good manners, and Allah dislikes the obscene and impolite”(1). Abi Al Darda ,

narrated that the Prophet  said: “Be aware of indecency and obscenity as Allah dislikes the indecent and the obscene, and be aware of injustice as it turns into darknesses on the Day of

Resurrection, and be ware of avarice as it has affected people before you and has caused them to shed blood, to severe bonds of kinship and to transgress on each other”.(2)

25- The Twenty Fifth Great Sin: The Exposure of body to Women and Men

That includes cases where a woman appears uncovered to unrelated men (in informal Arabic it is referred to as Hijab but in Quranic Arabic it is called Khimar). Allah  said: ﴾Oh Prophet say to your wives and daughters and to the wives of the believers that they should draw over themselves some of their outer garments, so as to be recognized and not harmed. Allah is most forgiving and most merciful﴿(3) Aisha may Allah be pleased with her says that Asma Bint Abi Bakr came to the Prophet  wearing light clothing so he looked away and said: “O Asma, when the woman reaches puberty, only this and this may be seen of her”- and he pointed to his face and hands. Abu Huraira narrated that the Prophet  said: “There are two categories of the people of Hell that I have not witnessed: people holding whips that look like the tails of cows, with which they beat people, and women who are dressed but naked, they mislead and are mislead, their heads resemble the backs of the camels, they do not enter Paradise and do not even find its smell, though Paradise smell is found from very far away”.(4)

The prohibited parts of a woman’s body for any unrelated males are basically the whole body except for the face and hands, and the most strictly prohibited parts of her body is the part between the bellybutton and the knees and up to the chest. The man’s prohibited body part is the part between the bellybutton and the knee and his most strictly prohibited parts are his private parts.The father and the husband have the duty to ordain the wife and daughter to cover the prohibited parts of the body (or wear hijab in other words), and has to spare no effort to that end. He can therefore ensure that she attends religious sessions and

she consistently sends prayers upon the Prophet , and he can accompany her to Umra and Hajj and other actions to facilitate her repentance from this sin and other sin, and he would be considered sinful if he does not put such efforts.

26- The Twenty Sixth Great Sin: Arrogance

Arrogance is a deceptive feeling of greatness, conceit and superiority over others; it is also the attitude of not accepting the truth, and putting oneself above others by having contempt over them, downgrading them, and not accepting truth coming from other than him. Allah  says: ﴾I will turn away from my signs all those who are arrogant in the lands without any right﴿.(5)

The Prophet said: whoever has a speck of pride in his heart shall not be admitted to Paradise.. so a man said to him, I like for my clothes to be nice and my sandals to be nice, so he said: “indeed Allah loves beauty but pride is refusing the truth and belittling the people”.(6)

Nutritious Recipe

from my kitchen with love

🌶️ Hearty Chili Soup🍲

Ingredients:

🫒 2 tbsp olive oil or ghee

🧅 1 large onion, diced

🧄 3 cloves garlic, minced

🥫 2 tbsp tomato paste

🍅 1 can (14 oz) diced, peeled tomatoes

🌶️ 1 tbsp red pepper paste

🫘 2 cans (15 oz) chili beans, drained

🌿 1 tsp cumin

🧂 1/2 tsp allspice

⚫ 1/2 tsp black pepper

🧂 Salt to taste

🧀 Mexican shredded cheese (for topping)

Instructions:

1️⃣ Heat olive oil or ghee in a large pot over medium heat.

2️⃣ Sauté the diced onion and minced garlic until fragrant and golden.

3️⃣ Stir in the tomato paste and red pepper paste, cooking for another minute.

4️⃣ Add the diced tomatoes, chili beans, cumin, allspice, black pepper, and salt. Stir well.

5️⃣ Bring the soup to a gentle simmer and let it cook for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally.

6️⃣ Serve hot, topped with a generous sprinkle of Mexican shredded cheese. 🧀

🍚 This dish can be served with fluffy white rice 🍛 to make it a hearty main course! 🍽️😋

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

In the name of Allah, I place my trust in Allah.In the name of Allah, I seek refuge in Allah.In the name of Allah, I gain victory by Allah.In the name of Allah, whatever Allah wills, no good comes except from Allah.In the name of Allah, whatever Allah wills, no harm is removed except by Allah.In the name of Allah, whatever Allah wills, every blessing is from Allah.In the name of Allah, whatever Allah wills, there is no power nor strength except with Allah.In the name of Allah, the secret of Allah has been revealed.In the name of Allah, the victory of Allah has come.In the name of Allah, the command of Allah has arrived.In the name of Allah, the divine strike has emerged.In the name of Allah, the word of Allah is complete.In the name of Allah, I ride the horses of Allah.In the name of Allah, the soldiers of Allah have spread.In the name of Allah, the men of Allah have arrived.In the name of Allah, the signs of Allah have shone.In the name of Allah, we are under the protection of Allah.In the name of Allah, the veil of Allah covers us.In the name of Allah, the fortress of Allah surrounds us.In the name of Allah, above us is the preservation of Allah.In the name of Allah, we are guarded by the party of Allah.In the name of Allah, we enter the domain of La ilaha illa Allah (There is no god but Allah).In the name of Allah, we go forth into the desert of security under Muhammad Rasul Allah (Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah).In the name of Allah, say: "All is from Allah."In the name of Allah, we are the victorious by the permission of Allah.In the name of Allah, the hand of Allah is with us.In the name of Allah, and Allah is sufficient.In the name of Allah, and all praise is due to Allah.In the name of Allah, and Allah is the Greatest.There is no power nor strength except with Allah.
